OK so now I have Windows 10. I have regular old Solitaire on all my devices. I would like to get it on my computer. Not fancy Solitaire games like Klondike,Spider, Free cell. Just the old regular Solitaire game. Can I do that?

Spider Solitaire is my favorite, too. I liked to play Hearts and Free Cell once in awhile as well. I have two laptops. I haven't upgraded my other laptop to Windows 10, nor will I, because I'll lose my only access to those games.

The only app on Windows 10 which has Spider is a link to Wild Tangent, which I would eventually have to pay for. The graphics are horrible, the stacks can get compressed to where you can't tell what cards are in them, the game is timed, and of course, the ads are a pain in the neck. In my case, it seems that every time I get an upgrade, my new version has less of what I liked in the old version, not more.

Please, MS, put the on-my-hard-drive games back the way they were.

Here is the method I just used successfully. You must have an old PC running Windows XP. Search for the two files - < cards.dll > and < sol > which is the application.  On mine, they were in "System 32".  Copy them to a USB drive.  Then in your new Windows 10 PC, copy them to the OS (C:).  Once there, right-click on the application < sol >and choose "create shortcut."  It will as if it is OK to put the shortcut on the desktop: say "yes" and you are done.  Real XP Solitaire.

Since windows 10 hijacked my computer in an update, after declining for many months, now there is no regular solitaire??  Really?  I do not like change, I am old, please make it available again.
