OK so now I have Windows 10. I have regular old Solitaire on all my devices. I would like to get it on my computer. Not fancy Solitaire games like Klondike,Spider, Free cell. Just the old regular Solitaire game. Can I do that?

I don't have that cs-CZ folder. I only have the en-US folder. Clean install of 10586 and then new install of Microsoft Games.

When I did the November Fall "updates," the Old Windows games were uninstalled from my computer.  There was a new Games folder and, of course, new games in it's place, not Solitaire, Spider Solitaire, etc.  I had to copy the folders again and run the .reg file to reinstall.

This looks like a completely different way to get the games, with the .msi.  I found a method where you copy 3 folders to (C:), a Windows, Program Files & ProgramData folders.  Then you run Games_x32.reg, x64 for 64 bit.  That installs the games.  I can't find the webpage that offered the hack.

After the Fall "updates," I found some strange tiles in the start menu.  The Hry folder and the tile in the Most Used category in the second image and the cs-CZ folder in File Explorer.  The tiles disappeared on their own after several restarts.  I've never had another language installed, other than English.

Glad it was of us. As far as I know somebody pulled all the files etc off of Windows 7 and made an installer. It's not an official Microsoft installer but it works and gets you all the classic games back. I have yet to hear anything bad about it. I've used it on all my Windows 10 PC's here at home.

Thank you so much! The games are back! My husband and I are SO happy. Microsoft did not think this one thru nor did their techs now about the info that you shared. Thanks! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

If this has already been posted my apologies, I skimmed through some posts. If you do a Google search for msgames_win8_x64.msi (64 bit installer) or msgames_win8_x86.msi (32 bit installer) you should find the old games from Windows 7. They work just fine in Windows 8 and Windows 10. It's all the old classic games from Windows 7.
