Solitaire on Windows 10

OK so now I have Windows 10. I have regular old Solitaire on all my devices. I would like to get it on my computer. Not fancy Solitaire games like Klondike,Spider, Free cell. Just the old regular Solitaire game. Can I do that?

By eliminating easy access to "old regular Solitaire" MS has got me very annoyed.  I've been asked to set up a new account but that hasn't worked.  And I don't want to play around with Xbox.  Please, MS, just get Solitaire in the list of MS programmes as it was before.

I don't have Xbox so I don't think they would be able to help me to get the regular old Solitaire on my Windows 10 desktop computer. The Solitaire that is in the apps section of windows 10 is Klondike, Free cell, Spider, Tripeaks. I'm talking about the original Solitaire. I had it when this computer was Windows 7. I also have it on both my tablets and my Galaxy s 6. I have had it since my first Dell 350 computer running Windows 95. Did they just do away with this game?

The only one I found that has the Windows 3.1/95 look and feel (including program size and speed) while running out-of-box on Windows 10 is the third-party application "SolitaireXP."

In 2007, with the release of Windows Vista, Microsoft did away with the classic Klondike solitaire game that had been an indispensable part of Windows since 1993.  They replaced it with a super-fancy rewrite in Vista and kept that one in 7, but they did away with even that version for 10, replacing it with the adware/trialware everyone* loves.  (Edit: If memory serves, 8 and 8.1 didn't even have any games outside the Store app or in the default installation. [Edit again: Got a new 8 system, and nope, not a single game.])

Microsoft are trying real hard to brand "Xbox" as their all-devices gaming platform, including desktop and laptop PCs, and including trivial patience card games that haven't been associated with console gaming since Backgammon for the Atari 2600.

*Statistics indicating "everyone" are almost certainly inflated at best.

The solution I have found so far is go to the store in Windows 10 and type Solitaire. Then select Simple Solitaire. It is the classic solitaire game. It's not the exact game that was on Windows 7 but it works .

I have just uninstalled Windows 10 and reverted to Windows 7 solely because the Spider Solitaire Game and the Mahjong Titans game are not present in Windows 10.  I use both of these games as a major source of relaxation and the loss of them is significant to me. I checked out a couple of versions of Spider Solitaire in the Microsoft Store and they were both loaded with advertisements that flashed in your face plus they were inferior in quality.  What will it take for Microsoft to realise that such a simple omission from their mission critical product release is going to adversely affect the take up of the product.

Is there any way I can load these games as a stand alone product?
