Windows 10 - VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE igdkmd64.sys

Ever since i have upgraded to Windows 10 these failures happen at random times throughout the day. Mostly when i am playing a game but also has happened when watching Netflix. I have checked and updated all of my drivers and everything is up to date. 

Sometimes it says VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR, this one is not as often. I have looked online and tried almost everything people have said are solutions and nothing works, and there and almost no solved posts for this problem on windows 10 only for 8.1 and 7. The only way I can recreate the problem is by opening Hearthstone, other than that it is completely random and really annoying.

    I am also experiencing this random 'full system crash' error after upgrading to Windows 10 Pro  using a Surface Pro3 i7-4650U with the Intel HD Graphics 5000, and a single monitor attached via a Surface Pro3 docking station.  Resolution of the external monitor is set at the default recommended 2560x1440 resolution.

    Unfortunately there is no other Intel HD Graphics 5000 driver to roll-back (option greyed out) , as  the Intel driver version 10.18.15.4248 is that which came installed with Windows 10.

    This is a nasty error for Microsoft customers to encounter several times each day.

    IS ANYONE AT MICROSOFT READING THIS?

    It has to be fixed asap, we are using a Microsoft software on a Microsoft hardware!

    This is EXACTLY and SAME PROBLEM HERE !!!

    and I'm Playing TERA ONLINE ... but it's always restarting my game after 15-20mins playing Tera Online.

    Now who I am <_<" going to ask this if not Microsoft.... and I do not know any troubleshooting O.o

    It appears I have two graphic cards... An NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M and Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600

    Which one do I choose?

    disable the intel graphics, the 960m is much more powerful

    I had the identical problem with Windows 8.1 on the same Intel DH77DF Desktop Board about a  year ago.  At the time, I was able to find an earlier version of the igdkmd64.sys driver and replaced it in the system32 directory, which completely solved the problem until I upgraded to Windows 10 in October.  This time the error is not corrected with the old driver, so I need to find a new version of igdkmd64.sys which will work with Windows 10.

    A clean install of windows 10 does not solve the problem.

    Anyone who can help please contact me as my Intel Desktop Machine is only partially operative in safe mode until I can get a working igdkmd64.sys driver which works with Windows 10 and the Intel Desktop.

    Thank you so much! I looked on the internet for fixes to all of my windows 10 problems (blurry font and image rendering and crashes on game startup) but none of them worked. Finally, I did as you said, but I also checked to delete the driver files off of my system. Once I restarted, windows found the right drivers, installed them, and now everything works perfectly!
