Windows 10 - VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE igdkmd64.sys

Ever since i have upgraded to Windows 10 these failures happen at random times throughout the day. Mostly when i am playing a game but also has happened when watching Netflix. I have checked and updated all of my drivers and everything is up to date. 

Sometimes it says VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR, this one is not as often. I have looked online and tried almost everything people have said are solutions and nothing works, and there and almost no solved posts for this problem on windows 10 only for 8.1 and 7. The only way I can recreate the problem is by opening Hearthstone, other than that it is completely random and really annoying.

    For anyone that has gone through the Microsoft moderator's steps and has still failed to solve the issue, I suggest disabling the McAfee Scanner service in the task manager pane. go ctlr+shift+esc and scroll down to McAfee Scanner, and click disable. The scanner service is meant to only use as much of your drive that isn't being used by any other open software devices, but with recent updates it often fails to do this and overloads the drive. I haven't had problems since I did this. I feel this is better then completely rolling back or reinstalling the driver altogether.

    I don´t care if you should game on it or not, is not the point! this error is not related to temperature because on win 7 and 8 is not happening, i have 10 on my laptop and star happen out of nowhere, we want a fix, that is not disable the driver or install old windows...

    I have had a lot of mobile machines in the shop to try to fix after the user played games on it for months.

    One machine had the CPU fan size on him and the machine froze on boot

    tablets are completely passively cooled, so they can heat up and not be able to easily dissipate it

    I guess I don't understand the word "passively" the same way you do. The Surface Pro 3 has a fan built in for precisely this reason.

    The fan on the surface 3 will work hard, so expect it may need to be serviced in 12 months

    keep in mind that tablets lack any thermal advantages so heat can build up which can lead to crashes or worse

    Are you suggesting that hardware manufacturers don't adequately protect their hardware against thermal overload?
