Windows 10 - VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE igdkmd64.sys

Ever since i have upgraded to Windows 10 these failures happen at random times throughout the day. Mostly when i am playing a game but also has happened when watching Netflix. I have checked and updated all of my drivers and everything is up to date. 

Sometimes it says VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR, this one is not as often. I have looked online and tried almost everything people have said are solutions and nothing works, and there and almost no solved posts for this problem on windows 10 only for 8.1 and 7. The only way I can recreate the problem is by opening Hearthstone, other than that it is completely random and really annoying.

    backup your files and install windows clean, upgrades are messy at best

    I uninstalled the Intel Driver and reinstalled it as per the second suggestion.  This appeared to work at first as I was able to log on in the Windows 10 screen an the normal start screen displayed in high resolution.  However, after a few seconds the screen went black.  Then it displayed the arrow cursor with a small blue orbiting circle on the cursor, then alternated with all black a couple of times, then it just went all black and dead.

    I am using an Intel Desktop Board DH77DF.

    I'm having the same problem on a Surface 3 Pro. I get a BSOD with the error:

    video_tdr_failure(igdkmd64.sys)

    I have 2 external monitors connected but the problem occurs even when there is just 1 external monitor connected. I'm not sure if it happens when I am not using an external monitor.

    I have done as you suggested and uninstalled the display drivers, and let them get reinstalled on reboot. There does not appear to be a more up to date driver available.

    I am still getting this error on my tower. As soon as any video appears ie facebook, my second screen stops working properly and eventually I get a BSOD with video_tdr_failure(igdkmd64.sys) shown.

    On my laptop, even though all the correct drivers are installed I cannot run a second display or projector etc through the external video ports, HDMI or VGA.

    As one of the beta testers all was fantastic 2 weeks prior to the general release, it took this long before the external screens would work on my laptop, but then everything went wrong and it is now severely affecting my ability to operate my business

    Any suggestions that work would be appreciated or I will have no option but to migrate to Apple!
