Groove Music not finding local files

On my desktop, Groove music is not finding any of my local music files that I have in the folders I have added (mostly my existing iTunes folders).  I've tried resetting the app but still no luck.  Grabbing my OneDrive files with no problem.

Any thoughts?

    I have a similar problem except that all my music files are on my hard drive and not OneDrive. However, the music/Groove app (even in Win 8.1) doesn't seem to see some of the files and tells me I need the music pass to listen to them, even though they are ALL files on my hard drive. And, I could play the playlist will no errors but 10 minutes later play the same playlist and all of a sudden some of the files aren't found.

    Thanks for your entry,

    I seems that you are experiencing Groove Music Application finding your local music  issue. I would suggest you to try to change your music folder location and see if there is changes.

    If you don't see some of your music, try switching the "Use Windows indexing" option OFF (in the Preferences section).

    Thanks Carlos.

    Unfortunately, I can't rename my music folder since it's within iTunes, and I still need that to sync my phones. 

    Also, I don't see that option under preferences (Use Windows Indexing).  Is it somewhere other than the settings in the app itself?

    I'm having a similar situation where groove music will not re-scan for music. All I've found is adding a folder to the "Watched" list. I've even added some of the tracks to the already watched lists. Still nothing. Is there no "Rescan" button?

    This doesn't help. I even tried copying files to the folder Groove/Windows 10 made for music, it still can't find the music on my Surface 3.
