OK. I just want to clarify and confirm. Windows Media Playerwill be available with Windows 10, but Windows Media Center will not be available.... Right? ( I hope so, as I usually use the Windows Media Player on my Windows 7 PC to play my music)

2015-12-01T19:53:49+00:00 I can't remember the specifics, but when I updated to Windows 10, the only problem I had was the Windows Media Player didn't work. I remember going to the C: Windows:Old files
looking for the old media player files and tried to reinstall the last working one. Then I remember I had to go to the AMD.com, which I guess is a driver website, and downloading a 8.1 driver from that website, I think for the one for my original 8.1 edition. I guess I am using the Windows Media Player that came with the laptop. It took about a week scouring forums. I am sorry I cannot remember more the specifics.

2015-12-01T08:26:05+00:00 When windows 10 installed my CD/DVD drive was gone. Couldn't find it anywhere. Tried downloading a driver for it without success. I re-downloaded the Media Player for windows 7. Still no sucess. I did designate the player for all music files. Did a re-install a couple of times and after the 2nd one the driver re-appeared. Not sure why, but glad just the same. All my music was there and I can now rip music to the player and listen to a new CD while working in the computer. I have no idea what fixed it. But all is working fine now. As to your other questions I am sorry but I wouldn't be any help. Good luck.

2015-11-30T23:18:53+00:00 We also use Windows Media Player. It would take many months to reload music CDs to play in the new Windows 10 music app if it does not play some of the older file types. Have you had a problem playing older files? (Was told everything had to be reloaded for 10, and the one day Win10 was running, music only played in WMP)
Does anyone know a shortcut for uploading CD music to a hard drive? Or a way to convert file types without losing music quality? (ITunes can do a few, but I don't know a way to do it for Windows files.)
