How do a receive my $25 Microsoft store gift card, for purchasing a HP Stream.

This offer expired December 31, 2015.

I never was able to use the card. I called Microsoft, and they said that I needed to call HP about getting a valid user code. I called HP, and they told me that Microsoft needed to issue me a valid user code - since it was their gift card and their shop, which makes sense. But Microsoft never made good on the card, so I eventually let it go, because I had talked to them first about it. I spent the good part of a day trying to find out, and I didn't have time to pursue the matter further.

My suggestion to both HP and Microsoft is, to get your facts straight between you when offering a gift card like this one. Although the card was not the primary reason for my PC purchase, I did feel kinda ripped off when I was unable to use the card. Once I got the PC tweaked the way I wanted it, I found some games in the MS Store that I was interested in upgrading or buying, which is WHY I tried to use the worthless gift card I was issued. The formatting for the code on the card was all wrong, and the MS Store would not accept it. I have no idea why, because I used the upgrade certificate for MS Office with no problems.

This issue slightly smacks of "bait and switch" (because some purchase incentives did work), which I find quite irritating. I have always been of the mind that, if you're putting out a good product you don't need to bait people with worthless gift cards and hope that they don't use them ... which is what seemed to be going on here. Any time that MS wants to issue a $25 credit to me in the MS Store, I'll be happy to use it.

I do not know how long that offer is or was for, but if it is still valid, and if it isn't where is the redeem code located. Or why does the site redirect to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us ? It does not have clear enough instructions. I do not know the following,

    Why does it redirect?

    Is the offer up?

Do I have to be in internet explorer, and if so I have tried it.

Where is the redeem code if it has one?

Why do I have to put a credit/debit card and to avoid that I made a paypal and tried to use it, but I still have to put in a debit/credit card to make a "purchase"
