Groove does not display any Album or Artist Art

I think everyone may want to stop messing around with ID3 tags.  It took a while but I started getting some album covers.  That's when I noticed that some of them don't match my embedded images.  Think about that for a sec...

Only thing that can mean is that Groove is getting its images by matching Artist, Albums, and Songs to a central database.  ID3 tags or cover art images in PNG or JPG, it all doesn't matter.  You just have to cross your fingers and hope that how you named those THOUSANDS!! of songs to Microsoft's liking and Groove makes the match in their DB.  By the way, this is all on PC so far, I haven't tried my Lumia 650 yet.  Fingers crossed.

As for PC users, my recommendation is MusicBee.  Great program that is very actively in development.  It has ALL the options you can think of and some you would never have thought of.  MusicBee works just fine with either embedded images or image files in folders, take your pic.  It even has a layout a little like the Groove PC app which I sort of liked.

Try to right-click on the musics on file explorer see if there are not block, sometimes windows block files

that's comes from another computer that's not your computer, and if it's blocked for you, tick unblock and apply

try to see also if those files are not READ ONLY and uncheck it, Groove is acting very weird, The Groove Team at microsoft

should fix this issue,  and wait a minute Guys you know what's weird, i changed a lot sometimes the album art via itunes

to see if it will work or not, sometimes its works sometimes not, last time i did this, it did nto work until i resize

the GROOVE MUSIC WINDOW and album art appear :-) LOL

So try those solutions:

#1 - Figure out if your musics files are not BLOCKEDor READ-ONLY

in case it is, right click on a file for example and

tick UNBLOCK and Click on APPLY

#2 - When you make a modification with an ID3 tag editor and groove still

dont show result, try resizing the GROOVE APPLICATION WINDOW, i know this

weird but it works for me

#3 - Try at least that your album art cover is 400x400 pixelsand that the image

choose a .png format

But yeah it would have been easier if it just works without having to find out how to make

it work ;(

ALL I KNOW IS A GROOVE MUSIC ISSUE , because every music player in my computer

can display my library cover arts,only GROOVE does not.

agree, my issue is with W10 mobile.  I've got the Lumia 950 and my music on an SD. None of my album art shows up on the phone. does fine on the PC when I move the SD to the laptop. boy is it frustrating.

i'm going to try some of the solutions offers here but..... my SD is 64G and it's full. the thought of these manual solutions is really making me unhappy.

The risk for MSFT is that as many of us look for other solutions, we may find Groove is just not the right solution at all and then there is one more reason to be somewhere else.

There may be an issue with Groove for W10 for PCs, but there's definitely an issue with Groove for W10 mobile as well...!
