Steps I have taken to fix this problem so far:
- Updating Driver software automatically
- Updating driver software manually and selecting the one and only option of "High Definition Audio Controller"
- Disabling and Re-enabling the driver
- Uninstalling and reinstalling said driver
- going onto the realtek website and downloading the driver manually and manually installing it after uninstalling the default driver
- reformatting and rebooting completely
- restarting after every step mentioned
- I have been at this for over 6 hours now.
The icon still remains to have a red "x" over the audio. It still says "No audio output device is installed". I have tried everything I can possibly think of.
