I just Installed windows 10 this morning everything runs fine expect for the sound, where is it?

I have tried troubleshooting the problem its says it has fixed it but the little red cross is still is cuddling into the speaker icon. I have tried everything uninstalling and installing the sound again.....does nothing. I even disabled and enabled it......does nothing. I must tell you I am not computer literate and would love for someone to just give me simple instructions and a step by step guide on how to actually fix this problem.

IDT - Audio Device - IDT High Definition Audio CODEC - Error 0x8007001f <<<<<<<<< this is the error that keeps appearing.

Help me Obi windows Kenobi you're my only hope :)

    Hello Enrico,

Did you install Windows 10 more than 30 days ago ? Cause if your installation was less than 30 days ago you have a downgrade option available in the settings of windows 10, see intructions here : http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/how-downgrade-windows-10-windows-8-1-7-1513612

It should work i hope (unless the backup copy you erased affected alos this downgrade option)

I agree with you, it s a pity Windows 10 looked cool...

    Best,

    Benjamin

    Dear Benjamin

I wish I could the same. Accidentaly, I deleted my backup copy of windows 7 while freeing up space in my hard drive. I'll write to ASUS and ask for a new copy of win7. Hopefully, they'll accept my request. It's a pity tough, I quite like windows 10. Thanks for your message.

    Best,

    Enrico

    Hi Enrico

I finnaly gave up and downgraded my OS to windows 7. WIndows 10 offer teh possibility to downgrade very easily during the first 30 days after you install it. It took only one click and 20 mins and now i have my pc and soundcard back.

    Best

    Benjamin
