Video TDR Failure Windows 10

I recently upgraded to Windows 10, I had Windows 8.1 before and did not like it so, I was more than willing to upgrade. Since I upgraded I have been getting the "VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE" Error while playing a game on Steam called Borderlands 2. This Error does not appear while playing any other game and did not happen before the upgrade. Any help with this? I have read quite a few posts that talk about updating the Graphics Card's Driver, but it is up to date. Not really sure what to do, other then downgrade back to Windows 8.1 until I can find an appropriate fix for this issue.

    Thank you captain obvious, apparnetly I can't see ALL those "reply" under everyone's post so that one can reply to a certain comment/post. I'm well aware of ur issue with intel BUT you just said "there HAS been a Nvidia issue during Win 10 testing" So that makes my reply to Tom right seeing as that Tom ONLY has/and use NVIDIA drivers. I was thinking outside the box and maybe Tom can get some insight from NIVIDIA about his issue and we all know windows 10 is causing it and maybe Tom can find a working NVIDIA driver that works for him.

    On a side note anyone still getting BSOD that alrdy got it alrdy since using Windows 10?

    I had no problems with WINDOWS 7 and using NVidia 7100, but that card is not compatible with Windows 10, so I upgraded to NVidia 8400 Gs, then Windows 10 . I can't say whether my BSOD is attributable to the one or the other or Intel. I just want a resolution.

    I want to thank you all for your helpful comments. As you probably noticed, my PC is now pretty old, and although I had a problem with Windows 7 too, I think I may have been expecting too much of it even then! However, although I would like it to work a bit better better with an OS that is still supported, it is basically just a standby now, and I suppose it works well enough for that. I now use a laptop for everything - means I can sit in a comfortable chair instead of at a desk too! I still think MS & NVIDIA should have sorted out the original issue long ago though.

    I agree with you Gage. I still get problems with the Mac, although so far I have always found it much easier to fix them than I ever did with PCs. I still think PCs and Windows have a lot going for them, but on balance I now prefer Macs (apart from their ridiculous prices!). I reckon though that when my Mac eventually gets too old or just gives up the ghost I'll go back to PCs 'cos I won't be able to afford another Mac!!

    No matter the Graphics cards, Drivers, or anything else they have blamed these problems on, it all comes back to being a problem with windows. They say "Update the drivers," I have gotten this error minutes after updating the drivers. Intel, nor NVIDIA have a solution for the problem, because it's not their problem.
