Video TDR Failure Windows 10

I recently upgraded to Windows 10, I had Windows 8.1 before and did not like it so, I was more than willing to upgrade. Since I upgraded I have been getting the "VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE" Error while playing a game on Steam called Borderlands 2. This Error does not appear while playing any other game and did not happen before the upgrade. Any help with this? I have read quite a few posts that talk about updating the Graphics Card's Driver, but it is up to date. Not really sure what to do, other then downgrade back to Windows 8.1 until I can find an appropriate fix for this issue.

    I gave up on getting a fix. I tried every suggestion I came across and sometimes I got a few days without a TDR failure, but it was only a temporary hiatus.

    I found a resolution, though. I yanked my nVidia GeForce card and put in a newly purchased AMD Radeon. It cost me a hundred and a half, but it's rock solid. It's definitely worth the reliability and peace of mind.

    I guess that's not a possible fix for you laptop guys, but if you've got a desktop and some extra money you can end the aggravation.

    Go back to 8.1, it's better for gaming than 7 was, surprisingly. I switched back to 8.1 from 10 and am much happier.

    sounds like that Acer panel may have some problems

    I have the Asus PA238QR and I am using HDMI successfully with it

    I hate low end monitors so I spend $$$ in the IPS panel to have better color etc

    Hi,

    I have now solved my issue. I had to move the desktop PC from the bedroom/study it was in because we needed the room for guests. I decided to put it in the lounge attached to our Smart TV and got rid of the Acer monitor I had been using. It works great on the TV, and it serves all the functions we previously used it for! It looks like it was an issue between the graphics card, drivers and monitor - I've still no idea what the exact issue was, but the irritation it caused has stopped now

    I am really sick of WIN10 already !!

    I am running a quad core based gaming rig - and Win10 is rendering my PC useless by constantly shutting it down due to, I assume driver error, telling my PC that the Video/Graphics is failing !

    Someone needs to come up with a solution ASAP - for the meantime, I am deleting Win10 and going back to Win7 Ultimate !!

    I endured a lot of BSOD crashes with the 2 builds after 10240 until 10547 which finally fixed them

    I am using an EVGA GTX 660 Ti FTW Signature 2 card with 2 fans, and it has been upgraded to UEFI

    I installed 10240 clean recently and then installed 10547 from the fast ring and it has been fairly stable. I own a lot of hard disks and its important to have backups galore
