Video TDR Failure Windows 10

I recently upgraded to Windows 10, I had Windows 8.1 before and did not like it so, I was more than willing to upgrade. Since I upgraded I have been getting the "VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE" Error while playing a game on Steam called Borderlands 2. This Error does not appear while playing any other game and did not happen before the upgrade. Any help with this? I have read quite a few posts that talk about updating the Graphics Card's Driver, but it is up to date. Not really sure what to do, other then downgrade back to Windows 8.1 until I can find an appropriate fix for this issue.

I believe Intel is addressing the TDR failures with a new driver release. I'd say check Windows update later this week for a new driver and let me know if it helps.

do this. Start -> run -> type 'dxdiag' in the run window. The on dxdiag click the display tab, that will tell you which driver windows is using. Right now the latest on Windows update is 4256

Driver 4256 is the driver I have.

I hope Intel fixes this very soon. My hubby thinks he's broken the PC when the screen goes black. LOL

Logon you get a TDR? what is your Graphics card and driver, and/or computer model?

I'm seeing this on my Win 8.1 that was upgraded to Win 10 (non Insider on this PC).

I get this when playing games on FB using Chrome and when playing Pogo games on AOL 9.8.

This only started with the upgrade to Win 10.

I have an Acer Aspire with an Intel HD 4600, driver 10.18.15.4256 dated 7-17-15. These are the drivers that Intel shows, but that is a big jump in #'s.

I'm also not sure which 1 to get or both. Any help would be appreciated.

This is clearly a Windows 10 issue. I could run my Facebook slots game with no problems before I switched to Windows 10. NOW ! When I play FACEBOOK SLOTS ....which is not an extremely heavy graphics game on my 1200 Alienware X51 gaming desktop. I keep getting this ridiculous error. My desktop eventually shows a blue screen with the error : VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (igdkmd64.sys). Now what is the problem and how do I fix this please :)

I have the standard Intel Graphics card that came with the computer. The issue is Windows 10. Don't try blaming it on "outdated" drivers. They're not outdated. I keep my Laptop up to date as much as possible. Please find an actual fix to this issue. I am am tired of reading these "fixes" that are only just a way for you to play us off like its our fault. We all know that its your OS, not us. Please stop with the petty reply's on how to update the drivers that are UP TO DATE.
