Video TDR Failure Windows 10

I've got the drivers from GeForce Experience.

For getting the TDR failure, thus far it has been a one-off. It happened whilst playing the game, I think quite a few special effects were happening at the time - but I was playing for a good hour or two.  If it happens again, I'll post again. I might have just been unlucky. I've not been able to reproduce it since. But then I am ATM playing in 1080p instead of 1440p because I get 60fps in 1080p and not in 1440p, I'll do a session of running at Max settings at 1440p to see if it replicates.

What are the repro steps for getting the TDR failure for Final Fantays XIV? Just launching the game? What happens if you install the 355.82 driveres from geforce.com ? or from Geforce Experience?

What the engineer says seems to make sense - I've done a bit of digging on the issue. Sounds like improvements may be needed either in how Windows talks to graphics drivers or vice versa...or both. 

Initially, I didn't use the Windows 10 driver and just kept my old one from Windows 8.1 (as normally for me, I don't normally need to worry about drivers when I have upgraded in the past) and found after a while of use it just kept randomly crashing the driver. I upgraded to the Windows 10 driver, that stopped and now this happened (VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE). First time though, but I thought I would look into it to try and prevent it in the future.

Anyway, for the sake of proving data:

Game: Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (Using the Direct X 11 client)

Graphics Card: MSI NVidia GeForce GTX 980 4gb

Driver: Version: 355.60 - GeForce Windows 10 Driver

You are lucky to only have TDR errors, I have seen many BSOD crashes with recent GeForce drivers

I recently upgraded to Windows 10, I had Windows 8.1 before and did not like it so, I was more than willing to upgrade. Since I upgraded I have been getting the "VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE" Error while playing a game on Steam called Borderlands 2. This Error does not appear while playing any other game and did not happen before the upgrade. Any help with this? I have read quite a few posts that talk about updating the Graphics Card's Driver, but it is up to date. Not really sure what to do, other then downgrade back to Windows 8.1 until I can find an appropriate fix for this issue.
