I recently upgraded to Windows 10, I had Windows 8.1 before and did not like it so, I was more than willing to upgrade. Since I upgraded I have been getting the "VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE" Error while playing a game on Steam called Borderlands 2. This Error does not appear while playing any other game and did not happen before the upgrade. Any help with this? I have read quite a few posts that talk about updating the Graphics Card's Driver, but it is up to date. Not really sure what to do, other then downgrade back to Windows 8.1 until I can find an appropriate fix for this issue.

Thanks for your reply. My desktop is a Packard Bell iExtreme M5740 - fairly old now. It does not appear to have any Intel Graphics Driver - only NVIDIA drivers - and I had the problem with my previous OS which was 7. There was a lot of posts on the problem at the time, but no one ever seemed to find one thing that solved the issue
I don't see how buying a heaping pile of Sh*t is considered solving the problem, it would have been cheaper, and more efficient to build a new PC. As many problems that windows has, I still prefer it over apple products. The only good thing about apple products is how easy they are to jailbreak.
Errr the issues isn't with NVIDIA video drivers, it's the Intel Graphics Driver that cause these two different BSOD errors, Don't think keeping your NVIDIA driver is up to date is going to solve ur problem, you need to update ur Intel Graphics Driver instead.
This tread isn't an issue for NVIDIA video driver, I hope you knew that man?
Pretty sure it's Windows 10 causing the issues with the Intel driver, seeing as I've never had a BSOD when I was running windows 8.1, some sort of conflict is going on there with the driver and windows 10
I've been getting this problem for years on my Packard Bell desktop with Windows 7 Ultimate and nothing much has changed with Windows 10. Given the length of time I have been installing "new" NVidia drivers to try to fix it, I didn't expect anything more. I've really given up on Microsoft and NVidia now. If they can't fix the issue in 5 years I don't suppose it will get better unless I buy a new video card or a new monitor or both. Instead I bought an Apple MacBook Air and have trouble-free days and ease of use in all areas. I hardly use the desktop any longer as the clunkiness drives me nuts!
Be nice if Microsoft fixed these issues with BSOD, ever since I upgraded to windows 10 from 8.1 i've gotten 2 different BSOD, first one was video_scheduler_internal_error and that was a few days ago, so I rolled back the Intel Graphics Driver, seem to work but as of this morning I got video_tdr_failure (igdkmd64.sys) and both times i was just browsing the web, how about you guys at Microsoft stop copying and paste stuff and actually look into the issues since it has to do with your intel graphics driver?
