Game not working on Windows 10

At least we know now where we stand .. it seems I have the option to revert to Windows 7 within 30 days - I had Windows 8!  So we revert and then we're stuffed when Windows 10 becomes the standard and Microsoft won't support the earlier versions? Then we will all be forced to pay for Windows 10?

Will makers of disk based games be bringing out versions that are Windows 10 compatible or is this just not possible? Any chance of patches from them?  Is it worth hanging on for a while?

OK.  So, I've been doing a lot of digging and asking questions.   Here is the deal - Microsoft has decided that it will block any games with certain forms of DRM.  This will not apply to those of you having problems with downloaded games such as those from Big Fish.  If you are having issues with that type of game, you should contact the source where you got the game for assistance.

However, for those of us trying to install and play games from original discs, Microsoft has decided for us that we are no longer allowed to play these games.  We are not given an option, nor are we given an error message.  It's very upsetting to try to install and play a game I paid $60 for and not have it work because of a decision made by Microsoft. 

I certainly don't expect to be able to play some games forever - there comes a time when technology moves on.  But an arbitrary decision to force this down our throats?  No one hates and loathes DRM more than I do, but I made a decision to accept it for certain games.  Now Microsoft is telling me, "Tough luck?"

I have to say if I wanted an operating system that told me what I want and need rather than let me decide, I'd go for an Apple computer.  I am testing games for a very large gaming website and most of the people there are deciding to stay away from the Windows 10 upgrade for this reason alone.  With this Microsoft OS upgrade, it seems PC gamers are being thrown under the bus.

I have games that were already installed when I upgraded , ( Luxor ) . When I go to play in full screen ,It doesn't go to full screen and the game keeps flashing. Game works when not in full screen but it's to small. Another game also doesn't work in full screen.

I did misunderstand!  I didn't realize you had it on a second computer you upgraded.  That is indeed good news as I still have to upgrade our American Legion Post computer and we use Money Plus.  Thank you for clarifying!

Maybe my english was wrong. I said that in fact it is not necessary any more to hack for running Money.

Microsoft did something : Money ran the first time ok on my second PC without any hack.

So maybe for some of our games...

But I'm probably a dreamer :)
