Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Windows 10

I installed Windows 10 and the only program that does not work correctly is Microsoft Flight Simulator 10.  I was told by Microsoft that my Intel 4400 graphics card is the problem and by Intel that they do not have a Windows 10 driver for the Intel 4400.  What are the least expensive graphic cards that will run Microsoft Flight Simulator X on Windows 10?

Windows Flight Simulator X was working fine until I upgraded to windows 10, so I don't think it's my graphics card. I would like to continue using my flight simulator but I'm lost at this point. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Bert,

Your graphics card and its performance would not have been affected by the installation of Win10, so it's likely that FSX is just misbehaving itself with the new Operating System.   We don't know the exact nature of your problem (i.e. can't install FSX, or can't launch it after installation, or any other issue you may have), so if you could specify this, as well as any error messages that you see, and what you may have done to try to rectify the problem.   As you know, there have been many posts here with FSX-type problems:  have you checked any of them out?

    Chris

If you look at my posts from 2015, here is what I experienced.

I had the Intel 4400 graphics card, which Microsoft told me would not work, so I purchased from Best Buy a AMD R7 240 and used the Amazon price, and the program still did not work. I called Microsoft again and after she checked out my computer, she transferred me to another department and during the transfer the system cut me out.  Finally on the third call, I got a tech that was able to solve the problem using a scan program that is part of the Windows system.

My suggestion is if you want the Microsoft Flight Simulator X program to work with Windows 10, is to call Microsoft Support (I had used the call back feature, which my calls were returned 5 hours later) and give them my case number which was 1299988518 which should tell the technician that you contact how they fixed my problem.

The R7 240 is not much better than the Intel 440. take the card back and get a better card which will have much more horsepower. The R7 400 series are better.

The R7 240 is Oland which is the same as the ones on the R5 group

if you have a PCI Express cable on your PSU you can consider the R7 260 which is much better suited for games
