Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Windows 10

I installed Windows 10 and the only program that does not work correctly is Microsoft Flight Simulator 10.  I was told by Microsoft that my Intel 4400 graphics card is the problem and by Intel that they do not have a Windows 10 driver for the Intel 4400.  What are the least expensive graphic cards that will run Microsoft Flight Simulator X on Windows 10?

Try the "W" key for the hide panel command.  That is the only feature I can find that still does not work, but I can live with that.

I have no idea what the scan was that he performed.  He told me that the scan identifies and fixes errors.  I watched him perform it when he took control of my computer.  I was hoping that giving you my case number it would tell the techs what was done on my computer.  He did not deliver the email as promised to let me know what he done.  As I stated in my previous responses to others in the community, after my first contact with Microsoft Support, I purchased a new graphics card and it still did not work.  It took two more tries and now the program is completely functional including the mouse control of the instruments.  The only command I found not to work is the "W" which hides the panel, but I can live without it working the way it did before.  I am an engineer and after work I am a flight instructor.  I enjoy practicing instrument approaches using Microsoft Flight Simulator X.  I never downloaded Microsoft Flight and when Flight Simulator X did not work, I looked to download it and I see it is no longer supported, so it was important to me to get Microsoft Flight Simulator X to work again.  Have you shut down your computer and performed the Windows updates?  That might help, because when he did the scan it performed the updates on my system.

I looked at the video you sent and I'll have to check if Direct X is checked on my program.

I just saw where someone else loaded the updates and the program started to work.

I looked at my program and it worked without the Direct X box checked.  I checked the box and it made no difference.  My guess is the Direct X feature depends on the graphics card that you have.  My recollection is I tried checking the box when I first had the problem and it did not help.

I'm sorry to hear that.  It took me three tries with Microsoft support support to get it to work including the purchase of a new graphics card, but the program will work with Windows 10.

So i saw a youtube video earlier on how to stop the blank screen. It was done through the in game settings and you turn the button that says 'Preview Direct X 10'. I tried it and yes it actually worked which I thought was a surprise. However, when you come to play the game, the mouse doesn't work to use the instruments which is even more annoying! Microsoft Tech have been no help at all and refuse to do the scan you refer to. Have you any idea what the name of the scan was? They are adamant that FSX isn't compatible with Windows 10, but I beg to differ. The link to the video is below, have a look and see what you think. I am going to keep on at Microsoft for this issue as I feel they are just being lazy!

Read the previous replies I provided.  Try to install the upgrades to Windows 10.  If that doesn't work call Microsoft support and give them my case number 1299988518 which should tell the technician that you contact how they fixed my problem.

I did and he was no help at all so I just completely uninstalled Microsoft Flight Simulator X and all the aircraft I bought and paid for.
