Error with Windows Update KB3000850

Hi,

This update, KB3000850, is quite large -- something like 720+Mb.  After quite some time downloading (seemed to get stuck at 4% and 90% downloaded), I got error 800700002 when I tried to install this windows update.

Right after starting download, I disabled my real time anti-virus.

Can anyone suggest ways to overcome this problem???

    That's  0x80070002  decimal as a Qword.  Have you tried the DISM command?

    For more detail I would use the ReportingEvents.log to get the timestamp.  Then find the portion of CBS.log which corresponded to that.  It might give a clue about which module is "missing".

    It installed just fine for me.  Took over an hour from start to finish - long pause at 4% and again at 90% - but after all that one would think there would be some sort of noticeable difference.  So far I haven't come across anything "new" yet.

    I should add this was x86 not the 64-bit flavor update.  64-bit == ~~700MB  32-bit == ~~ 450MB

    Same problem here, both the WU version and the standalone installer version begin the update but after it reaches like 98% they fail. Tried manual cleaning of SoftwareDistribution etc folders, DISM command but nothing fixes it.

    Edit: Just tried the WU reset fixit option, no luck...

    Same problem for me...

    Disabled also real-time anti virus (Q360 total security) and deleted/renamed Software Distribution located at %windir%. Additionally DISM-procedure(s) were passed. No luck at all!

    Installed both, the WU version and the standalone several times.

    Isn't here anybody who can help? Microsoft support?
