I upgraded to the window 10 tech preview from windows 7 and now my mouse and keyboard dont work once the os loads up and brings me to the sign in screen. I cant even roll back to windows 7 now because I have no mouse input except for when the bios splash screen is showing. Any help would be amazing thank you.

2015-11-27T04:13:15+00:00 Hello All,
I have the first version of the 990FX SaBERTOOTH amd from Asus. have been running Windows 7 Home 64 bit on a clean install on a fresh computer build in 2012.
Thanks to Randie at Microsoft chat and advanced tier help, the dead mouse and keyboard were fixed.
Running above MB with 16GB ram, 390 GT video card, and 8350 8 core processor, new Death adder mouse and Razer Blackwidow ultima keyboard.
Here was the key to success for my system.
- go to the programs and uninstall the AS Media USB 3.0 software
- go to device manager and uninstall ALL the USB 3.0 drivers for each port
- Reboot computer and verify all USB 3.0 ports are gone in device manager.
- Start the standard windows 10 update.
- Enjoy the new Windows 10!!!
Previously had tried over 25 times to do the update with all suggestions in this thread with zero success!
First time with this process and have total success.
The system has accepted updates and has been flawless for 2 weeks mow!
Again thanks to Randie at MS tier 2 support!!!

2015-11-27T13:51:07+00:00 So the takeaway is that Windows 10 won't work with a number of USB 3.0 drivers. Or I suppose I should say that Asus doesn't have USB 3.0 drivers that work with Windows 10.
Thank you.

I would say your first observation is correct, as I have Gigabyte and have the same issue. So it's some incompatibility with other USB 3.0 drivers as well.

2015-11-28T00:13:27+00:00 So MSFT wants us to work without the benefit of USB 3.0 support? Hmmm. I think I will pass. Win 7 particularly on a always on desktop is just fine.
