Mouse and keyboard input not working after windows 10 upgrade from windows 7.
I upgraded to the window 10 tech preview from windows 7 and now my mouse and keyboard dont work once the os loads up and brings me to the sign in screen. I cant even roll back to windows 7 now because I have no mouse input except for when the bios splash screen is showing. Any help would be amazing thank you.

We would all definitely appreciate it if you could ask the tech to explain what he did to make your laptop work and share it with us here.
TIA

I second this request! Would love to know what the tech did to fix this on your computer!

2015-09-02T04:25:44+00:00 I did ask him. The only thing he said was something about the drivers for the mouse and touchpad. I'm sorry I can't be more specific than that but this was all in French and my comprehension of the language is not 100%, So far everything is working well. I will try to see him at the shop again and point him to this discussion and try to get a more complete description of what he did, even in French. This all took place at one of the Media Markt stores in Belgium. Media Markt is the equivalent of Best Buy in Belgium.

2015-09-02T12:00:39+00:00 OK, I went back to see the technician. (This was an opportunity anyway to give him a good bottle of St. Emilion for what he did for me at no charge.) He remembered the computer and the problem. He said that all he did was to deinstall some programs that he thought might be causing the problem. The two that he mentioned were Norton and Avast. I have been using Kaspersky as an antivirus. I think Norton was on the machine when I bought it and I had tried to deinstall it several times but could not completely do this. I don't ever remember using Avast which apparently is another antivirus program. So, if I had the same problem again I think I would begin by deinstalling any program which is not regularly in use and which might be suspect. Work through the programs one by one to see if a deinstallation has any effect. Sorry I can't be more definitive. Hope this helps.

2015-09-03T01:34:59+00:00 thank you for the update. Anytime you have a good bottle of St. Emilion, I would be happy to fix your computer. <g>
I got my Msft mouse and keyboard today and just installed it. I am in the process of again trying to update from Win 7 to Win 10. I will report back on my success. So far we don't know whether it is a usb issue or logitech issue or something totally unrelated to any of those. In fact a number of the problems, but not all are on Asus MBs. It does seem that the most consistent theme is Logitech however.
