Mouse and keyboard input not working after windows 10 upgrade from windows 7.

The issue has not been resolved. It is an ongoing failure of Microsoft.  This has been a known issue for several years and Miecrosft has not resolved it.  I recommend that you review britec09 videos on youtuve. There are many videos that might help you.  They also have a forum, you can get links from his youtube page, that you can post in and ask for help. The advise I got at the time was to do a fresh install of the OS.  Of course that did work, but I lost all my installed programs and related data to those programs.  Try an old PS2 mouse and keyboard as well.  They seem to work provided you have the legacy ports for them.  You might also be able to use a second system to netwrok into your current disabled system and copy over important files. I wish  I had been told this before doing a fresh install.  Also, you might contract microsoft support and ask for help that way.  I had to file a complant with the WA State AGO to get help.  (Attorney Generals Office)  Good luck.

Can anyone point me to where this issue is resolved?  I have a Dell Inspiron with Windows 10.  We have been on Windows 10 for at least a year.  Came in this morning and neither the mouse or keyboard work.  I've been thru BIOS screens, run troubleshooting, but as soon as I get to the Windows sign-on screen, neither the mouse or keyboard work.  And oh, this machine has no other means by which to connect non-USB mouse or keyboard.

I have the same problem of having no functioning keyboard and mouse.  My problem however occurred after recent MS automatic update in Feb. , 2018. So far had no luck in fixing this frustrating situation!! MS PC is NO iPhone!!! Appreciate a working solution!!!
