I cant even roll back to windows 7 now because I have no mouse input except for when the bios splash screen is showing. Any help would be amazing thank you.

For my ASUS FX990 Sabertooth I disabled everything at start up.  I used MSCONFIG to turn off any service that were not MS related software and turned off every single program that loads at start say for malwarebytes and anti-virus.  I then cloned my drive using Reflect and then authorized the update.  With all the ASUS **** turned off the system, thus far, upgraged, and updated without a repeat of the dead USB ports.

Now my main system, my Intel Core I5 was an entirely different story.  First it upgraded WITHOUT PERMISSION.  Thank you MS for that.  Of course, upon upgrade all USB ports died.  I had to use PS2 keyboard to activate Speccy and get the product key.  I then made an ISO of windows 10 and, mainly because I could not roll back to Windows 7 pro due to issues caused by windows 10 upgrade, did a fresh install of windows 10.  ALL OF MY FILES related to installed applications were lost.  Years of data gone.  Two full days of productivity gone.  The cost of this unauthorized upgrade is sickening.  I figure that the $$ loss to me  exceeds a few grand.  I am heart sick over the issue.

But after doing the clean install of windows 10, the USB ports began to work. Even MS tech support could not help.

NOTE TO MICROSOFT -  With all the phone and email scams coming out of INDIA related to "tech support" you might not want to EMPLOY the same f****ers to do your tech support.  Just say'n trust is an issue.

You can't. So at every attempt I went back to W7. When I knew the problem is was easy, uninstall the Asus software and upgrade. I never found a way out of the dead end of "welcome" with no mouse or keyboard. I have read that you can load software in Safe Mode that allows uninstalling other software but I just went back and started again. That's a week of my life I'll never get back :)

Turn the system off unplug the KB/Mouse turn system on wait until it is finished booting plug in KB/Mouse and see if Win10 finds them, if not unplug them and hold power button down until system shuts down, restart and try again. also posting of some info about your system might help us.
