I upgraded to the window 10 tech preview from windows 7 and now my mouse and keyboard dont work once the os loads up and brings me to the sign in screen. I cant even roll back to windows 7 now because I have no mouse input except for when the bios splash screen is showing. Any help would be amazing thank you.

    80474,

We would all definitely appreciate it if you could ask the tech to explain what he did to make your laptop work and share it with us here.

    TIA

This has happened to me twice sine I upgraded to Win 10. I have an HP laptop and I use a Logitech K360 wireless keyboard and Logitech performance MX mouse.

When the mouse and keyboard stopped working the first time this INCLUDED the laptop keyboard. I had no way to enter anything. So it wasn't the USB, and it wasn't Logitech. It was all input. I forced a shutdown and when I restarted it came to the login page. I couldn't enter anything, BUT my mouse was working. On the lower right hand side of the login screen I saw an icon (can't remember what it looked like). I right clicked on it to restart and when I did it rebooted and applied Windows updates.

I then did a shutdown using my mouse. I restarted and the keyboard and mouse were both working.

I rebooted and they've been working for the past few days. I have not shutdown.

    CNCRaymond,

I guess I hadn't thought about it being the fault of the ASUS MB.   But I suppose it could be.   I have been focused on the keyboard/mouse from logitech problem.   I get my Msft keyboard/mouse tomorrow and will let you know.

The good news is that Win 7 is a fine OS and in many ways (at least at this time) superior to Win 10 which is definitely still a work in progress, although does show some promise that MSFT hasn't shown in some time.
