Told to "Log in as administrator" when trying to run an old game

I just upgraded to Windows 10.  I tried running an old game, which was doing OK on Windows 8.  I get "access denied" when I hit start, and a message telling me to log in as administrator and try again.

I am the administrator.

So what can I do?

This ancient thread should have been locked long ago, but since they haven't done so...

This error is bogus in relation to trying to play old disc based games.

It has nothing to do with running as admin. MS built a 'security feature' into Win10 - DRM Blocking.

I have full details about this so called 'security feature' and why it p revents disc based games from

launching in my post at  --- this thread---

Short story - Old disc based games that use SafeDisk copy protection require using a noCD fix/hack to circumvent DRM Blocking.

btw - This 'feature' was also added to Win7/8/8.1 via a security update (as explained in my linked post) .

    while compiling java program when I click on save button then that time there flash a message "you can't save java file in bin folder and take permission from administrator.

      so tell me what can I do?

    OK! To repeat what I said in my post on page 5 from January this year....

    T****his thread is in regard to disc based games . It was created in 2015 and should have been closed long ago.

    The thread was started soon after the release of Win10, at which time there were many such questions regarding running disc based games.

    The Run as admin error in this instance is misleading, to say the least.

    The problem faced by the OP has to do with disc based games that use Safedisk copy protection.

    MS has a personal issue with Safedisc (or the company that developed it) so they have decided to block the Safedisk driver - secdrv.sys -

    and punish people who want to run disc based games they have already paid for rather than be forced to pay to download them again.

    People reading this thread... If you have a problem that is not to do with   disc based games,   start your own thread.

    and you will be more likely to get results.

    I need to delete the administrator from my system. I don't want to use the Administrator and it keeps popping up at inopportune times. Interrupts my work.
