As a long term user of Microsoft Money and now Money Sunset Delux I am keen to learn if the programme will still work on the imending Windows 10? I would be happy to resume paying for Money, as for me, this is the 'Killer App' which keeps me on the Windows platform. Does anyone esle out there still use Money? How can we get this fantastic Personnal Finance software continued? or, Have you found a realisticly alternative application?

Hi Simon

I am back from a work trip, and I played around with a few settings.  I can now get Money Sunset Edition to run in the Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 9879.

I changed the Compatibility settings:

Good luck!

Nick

Your solution is a great fix. It allows Money to run. Don't care about side effects. Hope Microsoft is looking at including this fix in final  release fix. Money is the only financial program I will use.

Thanks, I found this information as well, however, I do not have the

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Internet Explorer] "Version"="9.11.10240.0"

Line in my Registry anywhere, any ideas?

    Thanks Gary

It appears that MS Money expects the final number in the version string to be a maximum of four digits. Everything up to 9.11.10240.9999 works, but 9.11.10240.10000 and above does not.

So if you want to be somewhat safer, use .9999 instead of .0

I wonder if there's a hexedit that can fix this without the registry entry?
