As a long term user of Microsoft Money and now Money Sunset Delux I am keen to learn if the programme will still work on the imending Windows 10? I would be happy to resume paying for Money, as for me, this is the 'Killer App' which keeps me on the Windows platform. Does anyone esle out there still use Money? How can we get this fantastic Personnal Finance software continued? or, Have you found a realisticly alternative application?

Hi Simon

I am back from a work trip, and I played around with a few settings.  I can now get Money Sunset Edition to run in the Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 9879.

I changed the Compatibility settings:

Good luck!

Nick

I've had this problem since Win 8.1 and continuing in Win 10. My workaround is to leave the Payee blank when entering into register then edit the entry after recording. Works fine for me and less hassle.

That won't work if you import statements. See the mnyob99.dll patch discussed earlier in this thread.

Enter the new payee in money's Payee list first. Then you can enter the payee in the account register without money crashing. I just entered this work around on page 12

This fix gets money to start ok, but I ran into another problem when entering a new payee in an account register. Money crashes as soon as you leave the Payee entry to enter other data. After trying all compatibility modes to no avail, I discovered that if you enter the new payee in the Payee lost first, Money will accept the payee in an account register without complaint. Still hoping no more gremlins are lurking in the bushes.
