Will Money Sunset work on Windows 10? or when will Money be relaunched?

As a long term user of Microsoft Money and now Money Sunset Delux I am keen to learn if the programme will still work on the imending Windows 10? I would be happy to resume paying for Money, as for me, this is the 'Killer App' which keeps me on the Windows platform. Does anyone esle out there still use Money? How can we get this fantastic Personnal Finance software continued? or, Have you found a realisticly alternative application?

I am back from a work trip, and I played around with a few settings.  I can now get Money Sunset Edition to run in the Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 9879.

I changed the Compatibility settings:

    Insiders got the release build, 10240, a week or so before the actual release.

    Your version number being lower is curious....

    Generally I agree that changing the registry is not a good idea for most people, but there shouldn't be anything that depends intimately on the build part of the version number. It doesn't seem to be a major problem for those of us who have tried it.

    I also read the post about Microsoft 's update and have now reinstalled windows 10 and money works without any change to the registry. Well done Microsoft for listening to all our anxieties about money which many of us value. I also am not keen on editing the registry and when money. Did not work previously I restored Windows 8.1. I am now pleased to have both Microsoft Money and windows 10

    I printed out Markitsmad's post from July 19, 2015. In it He changed the registry from 9.11.10240.16384 to 9.11.10240.0. I am not a big fan of changing the registry but I looked at mine and it is not the same as his? My registry is VER 9.11.9600.17959. Is it safe to change to His number and what risk is involved?

    I received another update to this post and the post indicated that two new updates to Windows 10 remedies the problem? Anyone tried it lately?

    On another note, Windows 10 was released  July 29 and Markitsmad's post was July 19?

    No need to change anything. If you install Windows 10, Apply the two new updates (the first one was critical) and then install Money Sunset from the MS download site, it works. The first update seems to have fixed the issue (as a by-product of fixing other things presumably).
