As a long term user of Microsoft Money and now Money Sunset Delux I am keen to learn if the programme will still work on the imending Windows 10? I would be happy to resume paying for Money, as for me, this is the 'Killer App' which keeps me on the Windows platform. Does anyone esle out there still use Money? How can we get this fantastic Personnal Finance software continued? or, Have you found a realisticly alternative application?

Hi Simon

I am back from a work trip, and I played around with a few settings.  I can now get Money Sunset Edition to run in the Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 9879.

I changed the Compatibility settings:

Good luck!

Nick

When Windows 10 came out for consumers, it was crashing a few mins after opening.

After the latest update (Nov/2015) Money is working without needing any tweaks.

OK. I'm not a techie, just an old guy who has used Money for 20+ years. My current computer is old running Windows XP & slow so I have to upgrade. I'm looking for a very simple way to load Microsoft Money Sunshine onto a new computer probably with Windows 10 and then do a restore from a backup file. Is this possible?

Yup, should work just fine. I, like you, am an old geezer that's been using Money since its inception back in the mid 90s and have been able to use the Sunset edition on Windows 10 Pro with no discernable problems.

As long as you have a back up of your money file I see no problem. Been using money sense Microsoft 95 and have upgraded with every upgrade and never had a problem with my back up file.
