As a long term user of Microsoft Money and now Money Sunset Delux I am keen to learn if the programme will still work on the imending Windows 10? I would be happy to resume paying for Money, as for me, this is the 'Killer App' which keeps me on the Windows platform. Does anyone esle out there still use Money? How can we get this fantastic Personnal Finance software continued? or, Have you found a realisticly alternative application?

Hi Simon

I am back from a work trip, and I played around with a few settings.  I can now get Money Sunset Edition to run in the Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 9879.

I changed the Compatibility settings:

Good luck!

Nick

I have been able to get Money to work on all versions of Windows 10 until 10240; as with Gooser and JJensen it complains about not having IE6 ... a bit disappointing at this late stage!

In RTM build 10240 I can't even get the application to open, it complains that it needs IE6 to continue.  I rolled back to 10166 which opens and imports work most of the time for me.  When it fails on import, I normally either reinstall or open on a Windows 7 computer, import there and save.  I then can reopen on the Windows 10 (10166) machine without failure.

Same thing for me on 10240. It is disappointing that it got worse.

I'm running build 10166 and it still exhibits the same behavior.  When you open the import file it starts the process and then crashes just like it had been doing before.  Guess I'll keep my Win8.1 VM running a while longer.

10166 crashes in the same way for me too. It was nice to have it working properly for a while, but for now I'm back to using my VM.
