Hi Simon
I am back from a work trip, and I played around with a few settings. I can now get Money Sunset Edition to run in the Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 9879.
I changed the Compatibility settings:
Good luck!

As a long term user of Microsoft Money and now Money Sunset Delux I am keen to learn if the programme will still work on the imending Windows 10? I would be happy to resume paying for Money, as for me, this is the 'Killer App' which keeps me on the Windows platform. Does anyone esle out there still use Money? How can we get this fantastic Personnal Finance software continued? or, Have you found a realisticly alternative application?

I've tried those and similar and still left with the same issue. As long as I don't import it works OK, but when the OFX file comes in it wets the bed. I did get a chance to try it on a fresh build as opposed to a repeatedly upgraded system and had the same results.
I've played around with the compatibility settings for a while. None seem to work on Build 10074.
I found the following info in the application log in Event Viewer:
The msmoney.exe process is faulting because of this, every time I try to import an OFX:
Faulting module name: UTLSRF08.DLL, version: 17.0.0.3817, timestamp: 0x4b7c97e6
Exception code: 0xc0000005
This is an ACCESS DENIED message. I thought maybe it had to do with Data Execution Prevention. So I disabled it (and SecureBoot in the UEFI Firmware) to no avail.
I also gave Full Control to Users on the Microsoft Money Plus folder (inherited by all child objects) also to no avail.
this same issue with importing downloaded statements. Money Sunset is the one program I can't live without. I'm running build I am hoping the next fast ring build release fixes this, or I may need to clean house and go back to 8.1.
When my system upgraded to 10049 I began having issues. I can run the program, but upon using the import handler for OFX files it crashes. I upgraded to Build 10074 and the problem persists. Luckily I have a VM still running 9926 that isn't have issues with the import. I may be one of those people running a Win7 VM just so I can keep Money running into the future. I'm trying various compatibility settings, but so far no luck. I even went to the folder where the program is installed and changed all the EXE files to use compatibility for Win7 and XPSP3 but it still crashes. It's a shame the only competing project is such a horrible one.
