Update not needed error when trying to update to Internet Explorer 11.

AT: Windows uptade, i see TXT Update not needed when i click on install, WTH???.

Update for Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 8.1 for x64-based Systems (KB3025390) when i click on install it says update not needed, not needed or is something wrong with Win Updater? or did servers give signal to my PC that its no longer needed, i ask cause its first time when i see something like this

& then comes this

& then when i open Win updater again the update is still there

next day it installed

Your replies to this thread have confirmed that KB3008923 is, in fact, installed.

If Windows Update continues to offer KB3008923, just hide it ("Don't show me this update again").

If you run a manual check for updates today (i.e., 24 or 25 January 2015) and no updates are offered, ignore the "a Windows update did not install properly" error dated 03 December 2014.

    only thing i had once was McAfee, & it game with Flash update, usually new programs wont come with update so i did not pay attention to installation window, so i did not decline it, when i bought it only protection it had was Windows Defender, Ccleaner i only used when i knew what i want to remove like McAfee, when it found some McAfee reg entries then i marked only McAfee reg entries for deletion, but it mite be that Cc did not find all McAfee reg entries or what it found were just Trackers or tracks or how to call them, memory of the location where it was, even unpacking something leave a track what Cc finds

    No, but as long as KB3025390 is listed in Installed Updates and no other updates are failing to install, your issues have nothing to do with Windows Update functionality.

    I suspect a Norton or a McAfee free-trial was preinstalled on the computer when you bought it. Norton & McAfee applications are notorious for not uninstalling (or upgrading) cleanly: The "leftovers" may be one of your troublemakers here. Ditto for injudicious use of "registry cleaners."

    are this kind of issues normal for PC as long PC itself runs fine? issues like something fails time to time & false error reports, i heard that WindowsWcpOtherFailure3 can be false report, some have it even when they have installed nothing, just asking
