Nokia 301 ask: access control code

Hi

I got a used Nokia 301 single simcard phone. The phone ask "Enter access control code" when i turn on.

Without simcard phone works. With this code *#0010# i see this:

I asked Telenor online support what is this code but they did not answered to me :(

I tried pin code, nokia security code (12345), IMEI number, produsct code but does not work. Hard reset works but does not help.

So, phone network is Telenor Hungary, my simcard is belong to Telenor Hungary too. What is wrong? What is this "access control code"? Where can i find it? How can i get it?

    I have exactly the same problem as you had.

    Have you found a solution for this or is the phone still bricked?

    David, are you using a Nokia 301 from Telenor (Hungary) as well? If not, from which network operator is that Nokia 301, from which country?

    Nokia 208 (RM-948, code: 059T7X8), locked to Vodafone Hungary.

    But the symptoms are exactly the same as in the OP: inserting a SIM from Vodafone Hungary results in the "Enter access control code" message. Works flawlessly without SIM card.

    That firmware variant (059T7X8) is declared as a SIM-Lock variant for Vodafone Hungary. Indeed. However, although the symptoms are the same, the cause might be totally different. Are you using the SIM which came with that phone? Some operators limit the range of allowed SIMs – for example, if you insert a pay-as-you-go SIM, you might face no issue. Sometimes operator limit the lock to exactly the SIM which came with the phone.

    In any case, what did Vodafone HU say about this?

    Vodafone says that they won't do or say anything before I show the invoice of the phone. (I've got the phone from a friend, who doesn't have the papers any more.) They also said, that it might be the case that the phone was locked to one specific SIM card, but since I can't prove that I'm the legal owner of the phone, they can't say more. We haven't tried it with the original SIM card, because the aim was to use the phone with my SIM card.

    Thank you for your answer. It's not that important, so don't waste your time with it. I was just curios if kisvukk70 has found a solution or not.
