printer not showing in devices and printers

I think you are unable to install new hardware.

for troubleshooting purpose get some's pen drive which was not been used on your computer

this should be the first time you will connecting it.

if it works then try to install your printer on other pc.

and message the report in reply.

I can install my printer using HP software but the computer does not recognise it has been installed

nor does it recognise any other device that should show in printers and devices

The printer works fine using this method

When I use safe mode  all devices show except the printer ie Fax, smart tv etc on normal boot up nothing shows in devices and printers

Teredo Tunnelling Adapter cannot start  it reports that  driver up to date

Do not have access to pen drive

That is what comes from people not reading the whole thread before jumping in.  I am at a loss as to what to suggest other than doing an inplace upgrade repair. It is a bit drastic and you would really need to completely uninstall the miscreant printer software, because the upgrade retains programs.

PS: It is sometimes requires reinstalling some drivers.

must admit I have thought about binning it!!! maybe full re install with format might do it but not convinced it would

Thanks for all your time and effort I trained as computer engineer over 35 years ago with Control Data IBM 360/370's that was mainly hardware did bit of machine code programming. The very first desktop computer came in while I was there. I can sort out most problems one gets with PC's as long as it does not involve going too deep into the system

first started using desktop's before windows loved DOS later on I had my own network 3 pc's 2 printers and A3 full colour copier of course that was with windows. I remember when WWW came into being if you put correct url would go straight to website not get a list full of sites trying to look like the one you actually want

Before formatting the system and reinstalling Windows, you may try to perform in-place upgrade which is safer.
