Nokia 808 Windows 10 USB drivers

This is probably a lost cause at this point, but I've upgraded to Windows 10 and my 808 no longer connects via USB o Bluetooth. There appears to be some sort of driver issues, as in device manager there are multiple 808 and MTP entries with the exclamation mark. Uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers does nothing.

Any suggestions short of finding a Windows 8 computer and using that?

I contacted Microsoft's mobile group on Facebook about this issue, and they suggested that I reinstall the cable driver.  Tried that and...almost got it to connect.  I got to thinking that if it's the cable driver that's not working right, maybe I should try to connect without a cable.  I grabbed my little Bluetooth kernel and plugged it into my laptop and...SUCCESS!!!  I was able to sync my day-to-day stuff (pics, contacts, text messages) with no problem.  I tried to backup my phone with the suite and it went REALLY slowly, but it worked (I backed up my phone a week or so before updating to Win10, so I wasn't really too concerned about not finishing the backup today).

So, if you have a way to connect to your computer by Bluetooth, give it a try and it /should/ work to connect to Nokia Suite.  I still want to resolve this issue with the cable connectivity, though, as much out of principle as it is out of convenience.  Bugging the hell out of me...

    Hi,

Here's an update from the team. We've released a list of steps you can try regarding this matter. See: .http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/mobile/support/faq/?action=singleTopic&topic=FA121425 The information provided is applicable regardless of your location. We'll appreciate it if you let us know the outcome.

Thanks for suggesting but it is not working. Here are the details. I have checked in nokia 808, but as per feedback in this forum, it is true for other symbian belle devices also.

    1. The problem occurs in machine running windows 10(both home and pro) only. It still works fine in windows 7,8 and 8.1. If i downgrade to windows 8.1 then it works fine.
    2. I use original cable, tried resetting device, uninstalling and reinstalling Nokia PC sute software as well as drivers, aslo I make sure that it is latest version.
    3. Problem is with cable driver in PC sute mode only. I can connect the mobile in Mass Storage mode and transfer files by connecting cable.
    4. If used with Bluetooth, connection via PC sute works fine, but its too slow and cumbersome.
    5. After connecting the device, it do not detect the device(if in PC suite mode) or shows driver error.

To sum up, there is some issue with cable driver in windows 10 and none of above mentioned suggestion has solved the issue. Kindly provide some driver update ASAP.

    Thanks.

    Hi

Not so good at English but,

Is "the team" (from microsoft?) working to solve this? I hope they have Nokia Symbian Anna and Belle phones (to compare since some of you claim Nokia Suite works ok with Anna but not with Belle) and I also hope that they have computers with Windows 7/8 and 10 to compare. I don't know anything about computers etc. but perhaps the comparision Anna/Belle could help the team?

Do they read this thread or should we contact them again, phone or facebook? (I'm not in the US and don't have facebook, but does someone else in this thread know?)

ANY answer from the microsioft team would be nice! (And please Microsoft, do NOT ask me to ask forum members since they have done their best to help me already in this thread.)

If the Microsoft team won't help me as a Nokia Symbian owner with this problem I won't help Microsoft by buying a Windows Phone next time (which was my original intention .)

    Kind regards

Anna (at the library wifi since the bluetoth connection in Nokia suite is not strong enough to make my Nokia Symbian Belle N8 able to work as a modem as i had planned and I also managed to delete the Windows old files by misstake and cannot go back to Windows 7 until I get home from my vacation where I am happy to have my Windows 7 backup)

    Also,

I'd like to attach a couple of screenshots about my problem, maybe someone else is having the same.

Everything is in Italian, but the point is: I have the latest "Nokia Connectivity Cable Drivers", version 7.132.117 (I tried also with many older ones, with no success).  The second picture shows what happens with I click on "test modem", it says that the modem doesn't respond.

The result of all of this is that I spent something like 6 hours trying to fix an unfixable issue, and that I can't connect to internet with my C5-00 anymore.

Francesco, this thread here is about Windows 10, Nokia Belle, and the USB mode Nokia Suite (CDC WMC) in general. You face an issue with an earlier Nokia using the phone as modem. That is another issue. Please, subscribe to that thread…

When a solution or workaround for your issue is known there, you get notified by E-mail. Furthermore, that way only one thread must be updated.
