Nokia 808 Windows 10 USB drivers

This is probably a lost cause at this point, but I've upgraded to Windows 10 and my 808 no longer connects via USB o Bluetooth. There appears to be some sort of driver issues, as in device manager there are multiple 808 and MTP entries with the exclamation mark. Uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers does nothing.

Any suggestions short of finding a Windows 8 computer and using that?

I contacted Microsoft's mobile group on Facebook about this issue, and they suggested that I reinstall the cable driver.  Tried that and...almost got it to connect.  I got to thinking that if it's the cable driver that's not working right, maybe I should try to connect without a cable.  I grabbed my little Bluetooth kernel and plugged it into my laptop and...SUCCESS!!!  I was able to sync my day-to-day stuff (pics, contacts, text messages) with no problem.  I tried to backup my phone with the suite and it went REALLY slowly, but it worked (I backed up my phone a week or so before updating to Win10, so I wasn't really too concerned about not finishing the backup today).

So, if you have a way to connect to your computer by Bluetooth, give it a try and it /should/ work to connect to Nokia Suite.  I still want to resolve this issue with the cable connectivity, though, as much out of principle as it is out of convenience.  Bugging the hell out of me...

    I am not aware of any solution except to go for

    A) Bluetooth USB adapter, or

    B) Windows 8, or

    C) Windows 7.

    This morning, I got into the Device Manager in Windows with my phone hooked up.  Windows does show it as a device and flashed a warning that it recognizes that there is an issue with the drivers for it.  It ran a diagnostic and tried to re-install the drivers, as it found that the drivers were not working properly (shock and awe).  Unfortunately, it couldn't install the drivers (because they don't exist?) so I'm still unable to connect to sync with Nokia Suite.  I am able to connect as a mass storage device, so I can load pics/videos/music etc on and off, I just can't sync up all my messages and my contacts.  The optimist in me says that we'll eventually get the drivers that we need, but the realist in me isn't holding his breath.

    Similar story with N8. If phone USB is set to storage Win10 see it and files can be moved back and forth, but no luck with Nokia Suite.

    SHAME ON YOU MICROSOFT!!!!!!

    Shame that I have to use Windows 8.1 virtual machine to transfer contacts from Symbian to Lumia phone.

    Hello everybody,

    I'm glad I found this thread. I've spent all day trying to figure out how to connect my Nokia C5-00 to my freshly updated Windows 10 machine - with NO SUCCESS!

    On Windows 8.1 I used to use my Nokia mobile as a usb modem to connect to internet when no wi-fi was available, but now nothing works anymore! I downloaded many different drivers and rebooted countless times, but still no luck!

    Now I see why...

    Please Microsoft, fix this issue NOW!
