Photo Gallery and Windows 10

Have any users - who use Photo Gallery (part of Windows Essentials 2012), preferably on Win 7 - upgraded to Win 10?    Have you checked out whether Photo Gallery, including all the tags you've attached to your media, continues to operate seamlessly on your machine after the Win 10 Upgrade.   Any problems at all?

How about Movie Maker?   I note Microsoft provides contradictory information about compatibility of Movie Maker and Window 10 - see the following:

  1. They are NOT compatible according to:

2) They ARE compatible according to:

    Windows Live Essentials 2011 is no longer offered.

    Following your link the page says:

    Windows Essentials 2012 suite will reach end of support on January 10, 2017

    MS will obviously just disregard all requests for a proper successor for Photo Gallery. The Photo app is a joke... For example it does not support face tagging, which has been my reason for using Photo Gallery.

    But nevertheless the "Photo app" is what Microsoft recommends as the alternative: "Photos is available as a free built-in application for Windows 8.1 and above."

    This is January 4, 2017; I wrote the notice January 3, 2017. January 10, 2017 is seven days from the time I wrote the information. My information and source remain current and will remain current until January 10, 2017.

    You may still obtain Windows Essentials 2012 now, although you will not be able to obtain the software in the future.

    As of this morning, January 11, 2017,

    Windows Essentials 2012 download offline installer (Microsoft site) is still available.
