Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 3 and Windows 10

My new computer is  ASUS F555L  windows 10

Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 3 Battle for Europe won't work - it loaded both discs

Gives error message access denied  "please log in with administrator privileges and try again

I went to run as administrator and clicked it - it still won't run

My Microsoft Flight Simulator X works wonderfully

Go to SOH - Combat Flight Simulator website. 

Click  "Forum" ,  upper left

Click  "CFS3 General Discussion"

Click  "Running CFS3 in Windows 10"  in first group of Threads.   There should be many items to help you with your new PC.  Good Luck!!!

How do you get CFS3 to run with Windows 10?

CFS3 did run with Windows 8 and 8.1 but will NOT run with Windows 10.

How do you fix this?

Something strange is going on here!

I have Win 10 and an old Sidewinder FF 2 stick.

FS2000 works a treat, no issues!

CFS Collection 2 (WW2 Europe, Pacific, Cold War Air Power) will start, but is badly controlled from the keyboard. If you calibrate the joystick from CFS (i.e. calling the windows joystick calibration routine) its there and its fine - its just that CFS can't see the stick inputs.

Any offers?

Please my previous reply on Oct. 7, 2016 for possible ideas.  I do not have CFS2.

Unbelievable dirty trick  I bought a new computer just to play my favorite Microsoft games.   Bought windows 10 instead of using redhat. UMBUTU And now I find out that Combat Flight Sim 3 has been made useless to Me.

So much for doing no evil!!!!!!!!!!!

Do not believe Larry Ware's post. He is ill informed and incorrect. The game is compatible with Win10,

but due to MS blocking the driver for SafeDisk copy protection the disk based version of the game requires

a noCD fix/hack to run on Win10 (as well as Win7/8/8./1 if the offending "security" update has been installed)

Also - This game is not DOS based, as Hardcore suggests,  so DOS BOX is no use.
