Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 3 and Windows 10

Go to  sim-outhouse.com   (Combat Flight Center)   and post your Joystick question on this helpful website.  Hopefully you already are a member.  If not sign up.  I have been helped by this GREAT website for ten years.  It is the BEST place to get answers for CFS3 problems.

I was finally able to get an older Combat Flight Simulator program to load and function.  However, the joystick (Saitek, ST290 Pro) works in the program setup but not with the program.  Combat Flight Simulator 3 still will not load even after going through the compatibility troubleshooting.

I suppose that having a game blocked by Windows can be considered an incompatibility, but the game is

fully compatible.  Well, CFS2 is.

I've not found a need to use a Compatibility setting to get CFS2 to run on Win10

(I can't vouch for it running better on XP,  as it's been years since I ran the game on XP, and

I cannot compare now as I don't have XP installed, but it runs as well as it did on Win7).

btw - For those interested in which games use SecuROM or SafeDisk check out the lists below

(one may have a couple of games not on the other)

icant get Microsoft combat flight simulator 3 to work on windows 10 how can I fix this I love all the micrssoft flight sims got them all but none of then work on 10

Even though CFS3 is "Not Compatible" with Windows 10 it will still run, but not as good as with Windows XP.

1. Use the Compatibility Troubleshooter in the Control Panel/System & Security.  Indicate that CFS3 ran OK with Windows XP, Or Windows 7, etc.
2. Check Combat Flight Simulator / SimOutHouse for additional tweaks and tips.
