SFC cannot fix corrupted files in Windows 7 -- Windows Update for May 2015?

I believe we have a system wide problem!  No, I am not kidding.  I routinely run SFC on computers and it almost always returns a report of no problems or not often but sometimes reports that it found problems and fixed them.  Rarely, it reports corruption found and not fixed.  In those instances the only way I know to fix this in Windows 7 is to re-build the OS.

 In the past several days I have run SFC on 5 different computers all running Windows 7, but in different places, used by different people. 

All report SFC found corrupted files and was unable to fix them.

I do not know if there is corruption, if SFC is itself incorrect, let alone how to fix this.  There is suspicion that the May 2015 patches may have caused this.

    I have checked this on a lot of computers.  I have yet to find one in which this statement is not true.  Do you know of any?   I know this statement sounds bold, but I believe it to be true.  If it is not, I would like to know that.

    I am really curious as to what the actual problem is. 

    1. For example is SFC corrupted or are system files actually corrupted and if they are, how is it that SFC can not fix them?
    2. What system files and how does that affect normal operations?
    3. And last, but not least, will Microsoft fix this and when?

    I believe there are a lot of people who routinely run SFC and as of early this month they all are finding this "corruption."   Most of them are doing all kinds of things to their systems to fix them and they do not know of this solution.  I have spent some time on this site and found quite a number of instances in which the root problem the user was trying to solve stemmed from this.

    I discovered this when I had a friend's computer produce the corruption message.  I was about to re-build his OS.  The very next day another friend had the same problem.  That is when I said this must not be a coincidence.  I then went to a lot of different computers in different places used by different users and they all came up with the same result.

    Gerry, the image is too faint to be readable to me.  Are you telling me that this particular Windows 7 computer has KB 3022345 installed and SFC does not report a problem?

    Yes CT I think that some people do think that all the people who help out on this forum work for Microsoft rather just because they like to help people not only because but at least sometimes people on the forum have helped them. I think that is why they call it 'community'.  Kind regards Ron Barker

    Well FWIW I saw this and thought I should run SFC and sure enough corruption found - 3022345 uninstalled and hidden - SFC re-run... corruption gone!
