I believe we have a system wide problem! No, I am not kidding. I routinely run SFC on computers and it almost always returns a report of no problems or not often but sometimes reports that it found problems and fixed them. Rarely, it reports corruption found and not fixed. In those instances the only way I know to fix this in Windows 7 is to re-build the OS.
In the past several days I have run SFC on 5 different computers all running Windows 7, but in different places, used by different people.
All report SFC found corrupted files and was unable to fix them.
I do not know if there is corruption, if SFC is itself incorrect, let alone how to fix this. There is suspicion that the May 2015 patches may have caused this.

I can confirm that this affects 32 bit Windows 7 SP1 computers as well as 64 bit. I replicated this.
I used a 32 bit system that had not had May updates. I installed them in groups leaving out KB3022345. Repetitively, running SFC with no corruption reported. Then I installed KB3022345 itself. SFC reported the corruption as it did on my 64 bit systems.
I am now hiding KB3022345 on all systems. Hoping this is not going to lead to further problems.
I'll chime in and say it broke my Win 7 SP1 X64 system as well. Broke SFC and the "Installed Updates" list, so I wasn't even able to go remove updates one at a time. Had to restore from an image.

This has caused massive issues, the articles that I wrote (at The TechCookbook) to fix these corruptions have had a huge amount of views since making them. Between both articles there have been over 5,500 views, this is huge for my site. Most days it would average on 100-150 unique visitors, yesterday it got to 1,055! Not to mention all the users I have had to assist repairing this corruption here and at Sysnative forums: http://www.sysnative.com/forums/windows-update/
The thing is Windows Updates are not released corrupt, the files inside the KBxxxx.msu have had a sanity check to make sure they are correct, in actual fact the installer will not run if a corrupt file is inside the WU file. If you ever look inside a Windows Update MSU file you will see a file called _manifest_.cix.xml, this file contains all the SHA1 hashes of the files within the installer, this is used to make sure no files are corrupt or tampered.
Now something must be going wrong after the files have been installed onto these users computers, as if they were corrupt inside the update the install would not of processed. I wish I could tell you how this is happening, but I have not been able to trigger it my self.
I had the same issue...corrupt files that could not be repaired in command prompt SFC SCAN...I uninstalled the update mentioned .. reran SFC scan and it found no problems...Can u please tell me how I keep KB3022345 from reinstalling?
It has already come up in my new set of updates.../ It is listed as important not optional..

Select Start, Control Panel, Windows Update, Check for Updates. When the list of available updates appears right click on KB3022345 and select Hide.
