SFC cannot fix corrupted files in Windows 7 -- Windows Update for May 2015?

I believe we have a system wide problem!  No, I am not kidding.  I routinely run SFC on computers and it almost always returns a report of no problems or not often but sometimes reports that it found problems and fixed them.  Rarely, it reports corruption found and not fixed.  In those instances the only way I know to fix this in Windows 7 is to re-build the OS.

 In the past several days I have run SFC on 5 different computers all running Windows 7, but in different places, used by different people. 

All report SFC found corrupted files and was unable to fix them.

I do not know if there is corruption, if SFC is itself incorrect, let alone how to fix this.  There is suspicion that the May 2015 patches may have caused this.

    I spend most of my time at EVGA forums these days. After it was discovered how much data Windows 10 was leeching from its users we all became suspicious of Microsoft and started doing some digging. It was noticed that Microsoft was also attacking Windows 7 & 8 with these exploits. I used to trust Microsoft explicitly and installed every update that they listed as important. What I have found out is that what Microsoft considers important is not the same as what I consider important. I have already tried Windows 10 and went back to Windows 7 after it literally sucked my soul out through my eyeballs and sent my personal data including Contact list traipsing all over the globe. If you click on the 'Get more information' link about the update you'll see it is only to send more data to Microsoft.

    It has to be said that you can opt in or out of the CEIP programme. What you are doing does remove that choice from  your customers!

    I already opted out of this CEIP but still get these updates, have to remove them, and then hide them although some keep coming back and have to be rehidden. It's like a zombie attack from MS Update!

    It has come down to the point that if you want to protect your Windows 7 investment, you are going to need to bar the door.  The only way I have found to do that is to set Windows Updates to NEVER.  Then at your convenience, manually start it, and uncheck the ones you do not want, allowing what are probably worthwhile updates to be installed.

    The challenge will be somehow keeping track of the objectionable ones.
