SFC cannot fix corrupted files in Windows 7 -- Windows Update for May 2015?

I believe we have a system wide problem!  No, I am not kidding.  I routinely run SFC on computers and it almost always returns a report of no problems or not often but sometimes reports that it found problems and fixed them.  Rarely, it reports corruption found and not fixed.  In those instances the only way I know to fix this in Windows 7 is to re-build the OS.

 In the past several days I have run SFC on 5 different computers all running Windows 7, but in different places, used by different people. 

All report SFC found corrupted files and was unable to fix them.

I do not know if there is corruption, if SFC is itself incorrect, let alone how to fix this.  There is suspicion that the May 2015 patches may have caused this.

    This morning, June 1, the Windows 10 nag began.  I can confirm that if you remove and hide KB3022345, KB3035583, and KB2952664, the nag goes away...

    How does this pertain to KB3022345 causing false SFC results?

    Tip: If you have clients running Win7 (or Win8), you should be posting in the appropriate IT Pro-specific forums over on the TechNet side:

    PS: I think you'll find that KB3035583, KB2952664 & KB2990214 are the Win10 Upgrade prerequisites for Win7.

    PS: I am a great believer in old adages such as 'a stitch in time saves nine' and in this case windows 10 as sold by Microsoft, 'if something seems too good to be true it probably is' and 'there is no such thing as a free lunch'.  Cheers

    I received the offer with it appearing in the notification area the other day. I have no intention of taking up the offer for some time, if ever, yet.  However, I have left the offer in the notification area and I am hoping that will prevent the 'nag'!
