Learn more about the new features in MyWatchlist by clicking here: My Watchlist: FAQ

You may have recently imported data from the Classic MSN or my.msn.com  pages to the new MSN.com Money Watchlist/Portfolio and may not have received all of your Watchlist/Portfolio data. The MSN team has resolved the issue and you can now regain access to that information by following the steps below.

Note: These steps only apply if your Watchlist has already been imported and there is data missing. If you have not already imported a Watchlist, please go to the Watchlist, sign in, and you will then be prompted to begin the import. You may need to return to this step if you find that data is missing after your first attempt to import.

Step 1: Create a new Watchlist and delete any Watchlists from previous imports

Step 2: Re-import your existing Watchlist or Portfolio data from MSN.com or my.msn.com into a new Watchlist

Step 3: Clean any erroneous data imported into your new Watchlist(s).

If you need more details about the steps, please go to this article.

If you are still having difficulties or would like to report any errors, please reply to this thread.

Thank you!

    Just to clarify, people still having import problems should follow the steps made by Supriya Kumari in that thread which Ravinath P referred to. The suggestion Ravinath P made to contact the Answer Desk if the steps did not work however did not work for me when I tried it as the chat link goes to the Windows OS subset of the Answer Desk who does not support these products. They told me the email subset does and gave me a different link. The email subset rep told me that although MSN is part of the email subset, they do not support it either and one had to call MS Pro Support at 800-936-4900.

    @MorningSleeper,

    The # you gave is for IT Support.  It is not free.

    Have you tried Retry Import link I listed just before your reply?

    My previous portfolio didn't import correctly so I deleted the old watchlist per your instructions and created a new watchlist.  I went to the "Re-try Import".  When I click on the Re-try Import button I do not get the "Migrate Watchlist" screen that instructions say that I am supposed to get.  Now I have no watchlist at all except the blank watchlsit that I created.  I hope you do not delete all old portfolios on Dec 22 if I cannot get them imported before that.

    Very well, I never bothered to call that number. I was just reporting the number I was told by "Jan D" from the email subset of the Answer Desk that one had to call to get support for these products beyond this forum so if it is the wrong number and you have the ability, please let them know so they stop giving out wrong info to people.

    The more important point was that I was told by multiple people at the Answer Desk that they do not support these products yet Adriana, Ravinath P and yourself have told people to contact them for support if the steps don't help and the link to do so remains at the bottom of the Migrating Your Watchlist article.

    In regards to my own case, as I reported in this thread on Dec 8th, I was able to reimport my large account from the old PM once the programmers finally increased the limit on the number of stocks allowed in imported accounts. One remaining problem however is the transaction page for that watchlist shows the following red error at the top:

    Some transactions in this portfolio are invalid.

    I scrolled down and deleted all the transactions (there were only a few) that had red lines around them indicating they were the problem but the message remains after reloading the page. How am I supposed to fix or delete any remaining invalid transactions when nothing else is highlighted in red to indicate which is the problem and they all look fine?
