Your advice for using the money central URL to find the old portfolio manager was a life saver. Why couldn't Microsoft have advised users to do this until they get the site straighten out. It sounds like most users were happy with the old system. (if it ain't broke, don"t fix it).

You may have recently imported data from the Classic MSN or my.msn.com pages to the new MSN.com Money Watchlist/Portfolio and may not have received all of your Watchlist/Portfolio data. The MSN team has resolved the issue and you can now regain access to that information by following the steps below.
Note: These steps only apply if your Watchlist has already been imported and there is data missing. If you have not already imported a Watchlist, please go to the Watchlist, sign in, and you will then be prompted to begin the import. You may need to return to this step if you find that data is missing after your first attempt to import.
Step 1: Create a new Watchlist and delete any Watchlists from previous imports
Step 2: Re-import your existing Watchlist or Portfolio data from MSN.com or my.msn.com into a new Watchlist
Step 3: Clean any erroneous data imported into your new Watchlist(s).
If you need more details about the steps, please go to this article.
If you are still having difficulties or would like to report any errors, please reply to this thread.
Thank you!

2014-10-02T12:29:02+00:00 I have not been able to get to the screen that asks if I would like to retry import. How do I get there? Almost none of my information imported. The Know More About My Watchlist link was not helpful. Also I saw there is a way to go to original portfolio manager until Oct. 31 while this stuff is being sorted out. How do I do that? I am on a desktop computer with Windows 7.

2014-10-02T12:59:50+00:00 Thank you so much for this link. At least for awhile things will be normal. Hopefully they will get this fixed and it will be at least as good as the old portfolio manager. I now have access to my info and will be able to save it before it is all lost. I learned a lesson about backing up info more frequently. Thanks again.

2014-10-02T14:38:41+00:00 My old portfolio manager lists do not import. I tried everything. I can't even see the new stories for a particular stock. It goes to internet explorer. The old system was much better. Very upset with Microsoft.
