Learn more about the new features in MyWatchlist by clicking here: My Watchlist: FAQ

You may have recently imported data from the Classic MSN or my.msn.com  pages to the new MSN.com Money Watchlist/Portfolio and may not have received all of your Watchlist/Portfolio data. The MSN team has resolved the issue and you can now regain access to that information by following the steps below.

Note: These steps only apply if your Watchlist has already been imported and there is data missing. If you have not already imported a Watchlist, please go to the Watchlist, sign in, and you will then be prompted to begin the import. You may need to return to this step if you find that data is missing after your first attempt to import.

Step 1: Create a new Watchlist and delete any Watchlists from previous imports

Step 2: Re-import your existing Watchlist or Portfolio data from MSN.com or my.msn.com into a new Watchlist

Step 3: Clean any erroneous data imported into your new Watchlist(s).

If you need more details about the steps, please go to this article.

If you are still having difficulties or would like to report any errors, please reply to this thread.

Thank you!

As far as I know, the portfolio manager will not be going away tomorrow. There was a request to keep it available for a couple of weeks after they receive confirmation that this current issue with the import is resolved. My gut feeling is that they will keep it available a bit longer.

So, in short, regardless of what the users actually want, MSN insists on cramming this huge step backward down our throats.  Knowing that, I'd like to reiterate my request that the product team figure out a way for us to d/l the PM data before the old PM goes away.  Even a text file would be worthwhile.  The data exists on your servers somewhere; there's got to be a way to get it.

I wholeheartedly agree. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE allow PM users access to their data as the migration process to "MY WATCHLESS is SO FLAWED and cumbersome to correct as to make it virtually impossible. "MY WATCHLIST" functionality v MONEY PORTFOLIO MGR. is virtually 0 &, therefore, not worth the effort it would take to correct all the errors in the migration. This move is to MY WATCHLIST is a grave mistake. If users are unable to connect to MS MONEY PORTFOLIO MGR,  YAHOO FINANCE will become their go-to place for finance. Mark my word.  Bob Rowe

    Adriana,

Two of my holdings in one of my accounts had an incorrect closing price today. This caused the total of my account to be off more than $500. Also have you come up with a way to include money market funds in the accounts? I have these funds in two of my accounts and although the ticker  symbol shows in both, I cannot get it to add shares. This causes the account totals to be off considerably.  I still have found no way to get it to show the totals of the individual holdings, only the grand total of each account.  It shows number of shares and share prices but I have to multiply them out to get a total. This is absolutely ridiculous to have to do that in order to see the value of each individual holding. I need to know what per cent each holding is to the total account.  And somewhere there should be a total of all holdings together for the total portfolio. If you or anyone else can help with answers to these questions, it will be appreciated.

I hope the product team is listening to all the input and working to solve all the problems, which seem to be many. So far they are nowhere close to providing a product that is anywhere close to the previous portfolio manager.

Thanks again for your help. I know this has been very difficult for you.

I'm at a lost. I have tons of transactions from many years in the old PM.  Imported data but data has so many errors that it is not salvageable.  Would like to delete everything and try to reimport to see if the issues are resolved but I cannot find a way to delete the portfolios that were imported.   Can someone tell me how to clear all so I can try to start fresh?

Look on the drop down menu under MY WATCHLIST & select "Manage My Watchlist". Click the "X" to the right of each holding & it will delete.

Go to MIgration Help & retry. I have done this DOZENS of times. My Portfolio is currently $479K. The BEST Migration of my data from PM is $40K less than that & as you say the "data has so many errors that it is not salvageable". So far, this is an unmitigated disaster.

Microsoft, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE allow Money PM's faithful users to continue accessing it. Many thousands of users have their ENTIRE LIFE"S INVESTMENTS data in this application. It is  a HUGELY important issue and MONEY PM is still a VERY valuable tool EVEN in it's current state of diminished functionality.  Bob Rowe

I agree. This move is a disaster so far. MS...you had & have  a wonderful application in MS Money Portfolio.

It's not a defeat to rethink and go back to using it. To go forward w/MY WATCHLIST is madness.
