Learn more about the new features in MyWatchlist by clicking here: My Watchlist: FAQ

You may have recently imported data from the Classic MSN or my.msn.com  pages to the new MSN.com Money Watchlist/Portfolio and may not have received all of your Watchlist/Portfolio data. The MSN team has resolved the issue and you can now regain access to that information by following the steps below.

Note: These steps only apply if your Watchlist has already been imported and there is data missing. If you have not already imported a Watchlist, please go to the Watchlist, sign in, and you will then be prompted to begin the import. You may need to return to this step if you find that data is missing after your first attempt to import.

Step 1: Create a new Watchlist and delete any Watchlists from previous imports

Step 2: Re-import your existing Watchlist or Portfolio data from MSN.com or my.msn.com into a new Watchlist

Step 3: Clean any erroneous data imported into your new Watchlist(s).

If you need more details about the steps, please go to this article.

If you are still having difficulties or would like to report any errors, please reply to this thread.

Thank you!

As thousands of other whom are having trouble trouble trouble with the portfolio migration, I finally called  Microsoft and reach atech who was able to help somwhat. He did get the migration to to take plac however ever watch list and porfolio was not correct or had lost much information or lost funds recently purchased.

Also the lay out  is terrible and very difficult to find what is missing. Also many colums of importance on the older version do not exist, and there is no way to customs them to see what you want or need. As many other have said MS has not tested this properly or have never owned stock or funds that they track and care for themselves.

Since I would need to add a lot of data to get this correct, and with the new layout under tranactions it imposible to find what is missing. The old version was great, easy to use, and very understandable. If they are not able or won't bring bring back the old format, then I will go to Morningstar.com where you can open a free account and enter your information. Yes it's a hassle, however the screens, layout, etc. are much easier to use, give you far more information and since MSN money gets thier information from Morningstar anyway it's a great improvement to either the new or old version of portfolio manager. I have entered some info already and it works perfectly. Then next day you recieve an email with what has happened to yourporfolio the previous day.

You can then cancel MSN explorer which onlygave you thier home page, which is now the same as MSN and portfolio manager as an extra. You can still keep you email address and use outlook on IE, Firefox, Google, with the same home page you get with MSN explorer and outlook is also what is being displayed on MSN.

What a ridiculously poor boondoggle!  Do these people even know how to program?  I have been involved with the computer programming field for over 50 years and I have never before seen anyhing handled so badly!

I have decided to migrate my entire portfolio to another provider, and to cease all contact with msn.money, which I have used quite extensively (and happily) for about 15 years.  They keep trying to FORCE us users into using "better and more extensive" computer systems.  I HATE all Windows systems later than Windows 7 and REFUSE to use them.  If necessary, I will buy a new computer from any other company except Microsoft, and using any other online systems.

Remember, Microsoft, if you alienate too many customers, you will also tend to terminate your company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This reply is simply "hogwash".  How do I rename something I haven't got???  I haven't  the first scrap of my "imported" data and don't expect to get it unless Microsoft takes steps to effectuate the transfer its horrible  new site promises.
