Learn more about the new features in MyWatchlist by clicking here: My Watchlist: FAQ

You may have recently imported data from the Classic MSN or my.msn.com  pages to the new MSN.com Money Watchlist/Portfolio and may not have received all of your Watchlist/Portfolio data. The MSN team has resolved the issue and you can now regain access to that information by following the steps below.

Note: These steps only apply if your Watchlist has already been imported and there is data missing. If you have not already imported a Watchlist, please go to the Watchlist, sign in, and you will then be prompted to begin the import. You may need to return to this step if you find that data is missing after your first attempt to import.

Step 1: Create a new Watchlist and delete any Watchlists from previous imports

Step 2: Re-import your existing Watchlist or Portfolio data from MSN.com or my.msn.com into a new Watchlist

Step 3: Clean any erroneous data imported into your new Watchlist(s).

If you need more details about the steps, please go to this article.

If you are still having difficulties or would like to report any errors, please reply to this thread.

Thank you!

Thanks for the suggestion SJ. Unfortunately I can't get to the managing watchlist option, the pull down arrow does not work to get to this selection. Is there another way to get to managing watchlists?

    Thanks and Merry Christmas.

This has been going on for too many months with no action by MS.  Doubt that the upper managers know anything about it or really care.  Their audience is no longer with users like us. We're dinosaurs to their overall marketing model.  Even if all the issues are eventually fixed, I'm moving on.  For a company like MS to basically abuse so many long time service users doesn't give me a warm fuzzy for the future.

I've been playing with Morningstar in preparation for use starting 2015.  Seems to work for me but for many of you more in depth users it may not.  I'll try out FT also.  Bottom line there are alternatives out there.  To bad MS wouldn't even allow us to get at all our detailed data and download it through the end of the year.  But it was free.  But even with that, 3 months of not addressing user issues has no excuse.

I may have even paid to have the old manager as an app.

Anyway,  Happy New Year to all.   I've moved on.

I also sent a complaint to Microsoft Investor Relations a couple weeks ago.  Why dont you move on to a good portfolio manager (eg. FT.com)?  The new PM will be a piece of junk for a long time to come.

    Just saying......

Yes, TW, I am moving on. Especially as the lame Watchlist isn't even functioning properly.

I've been using Morningstar for the time being. Its reports of daily changes is good and clear, though long-term gain/loss is another story. I will get on to FT, although I'm a little gunshy now of getting involved with a company whose primary business is not investing.

    Life does go on!

I would like to take this opportunity to recommend the portfolio management software "Investment Account Manager".  It isn't that expensive and gives you the same tools as professional money managers use, indeed this program is used by smaller money management firms.  It is a very good tool.

I'm too cheap to spend $139 for this!
